Marci's Return to Blogging...

Well, how ironic!! I just happened to notice the last time I published was on May 27th. Three months later, I finally have a moment to add a post! What a great summer we have had. God has blessed us with family time, time with friends, vacation, sports, and a break from sports! I did enjoy this summer; however, the last two weeks seemed extremely long! Today, Rylan began 2nd grade and Caden began Kindergarten! I never thought I would be ready for Caden to go to school. He admits to being ' a little nervous!' I surprised myself today by shedding no tears...yet, and finding myself having a terrific day at home with only one child! God is good and He does prepare us at just the right times for the events in our lives. This morning I felt ready to send Caden. He was ready. We only hope Mrs. Lundy was ready! He walked in, put his bag away and headed for the carpet area to join the rest of his class. He was hesitant but did it! As for Rylan, he was ready a month ago. He missed his friends and the activities he loves. He is very self-sufficient and will do well. Here a few photos of the boys from this morning. I didn't take many pics..the tears would've come for sure!

AND THEN THERE'S HUDSON'S LIFE WITHOUT THE BROTHERS!
Hudson and I went to a breakfast after dropping off the boys. As I was visiting with other Moms, Hudson was upstairs with his friend, Ruthie, having his first attempt with"body art". If you look closely at his chest you will see the art work, he is SO proud of today (i.e. - no shirt!!)! The best part of the story is that Ruthie knew to have Hudson raise his shirt as she decorated Hudson's belly. However, Hudson didn't catch on to that technique and just drew on her shirt and shorts. What a pair! It's proof, Hudson doesn't need Rylan and Caden to find trouble...He is very capable of finding it on his own.

Our 11th Wedding Anniversary-June 1, 2007

No! Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you! We went to A&M on our anniversary to watch more baseball!! On top of that, we took the kids! However, I must admit we had a great time. Best of all...we did some BIG time Aggie brainwashing of our oldest two's little brains! They learned all the yells over those three days and even came home saying them during each other's baseball games. Our seats were just above the home dugout. After the games, they would go stand right over the dugout. One of the players gave Caden a gameball. Several players signed Caden's ball and Rylan's cap. It was a great experience. Ryan and I really enjoyed being back in Aggieland for a few days!

Toothless Rylan

During May, Rylan lost 4 teeth in a short amount of time. It looked rather funny! He didn't seem to mind because the tooth fairy visited often!

Timothy's Class Leads Worship

Rylan has been attending a great class that teaches boys how to be leaders in the church. After studying for several months, the boy's had the opportunity to chose how they wanted to help lead a worship service. Rylan chose to lead a song and say a short devo. Ryan helped Rylan to find a topic he was interested in. It just so happens, they began talking about this during a week when Rylan was studying for a spelling test at school. So, his devo is very applicable to his life at age 7 and the 'test' we encounter in life. I am putting a video clip on the blog. It was hard to understand him that evening at church and it is even harder to understand him on this video. We were very proud of him and all the boys who were in this class. It was fun and encouraging to see how excited they became about this opportunity.

Several of Rylan's friends participated. The two pictured here are Wyatt and Graham.

Let The Games Begin

Baseball is in full swing! It has become the Reagan family's favorite time of the year. Ryan suddenly has so much extra time on his hands to play ball with the boys...daily almost!!! (I mean this as a compliment to him...even though that sounded sarcastic!) Rylan will be playing for the Cardinals again this year, with Ryan as the coach. Caden will playing t-ball for the Rangers just as last year, coached by one of our good friends. All the boys are excited about the season and I am trying to find as many toys, books, balls, anything to keep Hudson entertained at the ballpark all summer. We will be there most nights of the week with each team having two games a week! Come see us...and don't forget to bring mosquito spray!

Ready Or Not...Summer is HERE!

Rylan and Caden are now officially out of school. It was a great school year for both of them. Rylan will enter 2nd grade in August. He is very excited about having Mrs. Bessent, who is the mother of one of my childhood friends. We are excited for him too! Caden will enter Kindergarten. He is "a little nervous", as he says about the situation! We will find out his teacher soon. He is hoping to have the same teacher, Mrs. Lundy, as Rylan had in kindergarten, mostly because that is the only one he knows. The first few days of summer have been rainy, which as made it a crazy beginning to summer for Ryan and I...with a house full of rowdy kids! We haven't had much baseball going on due the weather also. I guess you could say we missed it a bit. So, yesterday we went to Abilene to watch the Brownwood High School team play. It was fun but they lost. It is fun to see Rylan actually watch the game and understand what is happening. Well, here are a few pics from the last days of school for both boys. In one photo, Rylan is accepting a 'B Award' for his conduct and grades. After the award assembly, Rylan and his friends Wyatt and Colby headed for the pool to celebrate. Most of photos of Caden and Hudson swimming are at Caden's preschool's Splash Day. Hudson joined in fully believing he was one of the class!

Hudson's Party..On The Farm!

We all celebrated Hudson's 2nd birthday with lots of friends and family. Papa and Grammy brought their horse for all the kids to ride. Those who were brave enough to ride had a great time! Some were not to sure about getting on the horse. But there were plenty of other things to do inside. Hudson loved all the animal toys and to our surprise he did a great job of 'sharing'!! Way to go Hudson! Mimi, Popie Joe, Uncle John Wade, Holly and Jackson all spent the night and that made it extra special too!
