Creative OR Hill-billie?

What's one thing 5 boys can do on a hot summer day?Apparently, create a slip-N-slide.

Ingredients Needed:
large tarp
baby soap (so your eyes don't burn, they said)
water hose
a few nails to hold the tarp in place

I think all these boys ended up with scratched bellies after this event!

How Summer Flies

I can't believe it's the middle of July. I haven't posted much this summer...mostly because I have been frustrated with my camera! We have been consumed with baseball, of coarse! I didn't get any pictures of the boys this season, except at the All-Star game. My camera has been really slow - most definitely, to slow to capture any good baseball pictures! Caden's team won 2nd place in their league and will play in the state tournament in Whitehouse. Rylan's team won 1st place in his age group and will get another chance at winning state here! It's been a fun season to watch the boys grow and enjoy sports. Hudson has even had his baseball debut! During Caden's last game of the season, his team only had 8 players. Hudson had told Ryan that afternoon, "Daddy, I'm going to be ready tonight if you need me." Well, it just happened to be a game that didn't affect any standings, so Hudson got asked to play right field. I never seen a boy more excited. He has been playing pretend games in our house for months. If you ask him he can tell you who is playing, what the score is, who hit homeruns and any other facts you would care to know about his imaginary games including when the next game will be! Hudson got two chances at the plate-swung at all pitches and struck out. When we asked him, he told us he knew he was swinging at balls and strikes..but, he really wanted to get a hit! A ball was hit to him in right field...he fielded it and threw it to second. People were yelling, 'Hudbud' while he was batting and he was the star of that moment!! When he wears the jersey he was wearing that day, he says, "I am wearing my first game shirt!" It was so fun. Of coarse, I didn't have my camera!! I did use my phone to capture a few shots.
