Marci's Return to Blogging...

Well, how ironic!! I just happened to notice the last time I published was on May 27th. Three months later, I finally have a moment to add a post! What a great summer we have had. God has blessed us with family time, time with friends, vacation, sports, and a break from sports! I did enjoy this summer; however, the last two weeks seemed extremely long! Today, Rylan began 2nd grade and Caden began Kindergarten! I never thought I would be ready for Caden to go to school. He admits to being ' a little nervous!' I surprised myself today by shedding no tears...yet, and finding myself having a terrific day at home with only one child! God is good and He does prepare us at just the right times for the events in our lives. This morning I felt ready to send Caden. He was ready. We only hope Mrs. Lundy was ready! He walked in, put his bag away and headed for the carpet area to join the rest of his class. He was hesitant but did it! As for Rylan, he was ready a month ago. He missed his friends and the activities he loves. He is very self-sufficient and will do well. Here a few photos of the boys from this morning. I didn't take many pics..the tears would've come for sure!

AND THEN THERE'S HUDSON'S LIFE WITHOUT THE BROTHERS!
Hudson and I went to a breakfast after dropping off the boys. As I was visiting with other Moms, Hudson was upstairs with his friend, Ruthie, having his first attempt with"body art". If you look closely at his chest you will see the art work, he is SO proud of today (i.e. - no shirt!!)! The best part of the story is that Ruthie knew to have Hudson raise his shirt as she decorated Hudson's belly. However, Hudson didn't catch on to that technique and just drew on her shirt and shorts. What a pair! It's proof, Hudson doesn't need Rylan and Caden to find trouble...He is very capable of finding it on his own.

Our 11th Wedding Anniversary-June 1, 2007

No! Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you! We went to A&M on our anniversary to watch more baseball!! On top of that, we took the kids! However, I must admit we had a great time. Best of all...we did some BIG time Aggie brainwashing of our oldest two's little brains! They learned all the yells over those three days and even came home saying them during each other's baseball games. Our seats were just above the home dugout. After the games, they would go stand right over the dugout. One of the players gave Caden a gameball. Several players signed Caden's ball and Rylan's cap. It was a great experience. Ryan and I really enjoyed being back in Aggieland for a few days!

Toothless Rylan

During May, Rylan lost 4 teeth in a short amount of time. It looked rather funny! He didn't seem to mind because the tooth fairy visited often!
